Nikki Lorenz O.T. Reg. (MB)

Nikki has been practicing Occupational Therapy since 2009, with a focus on mental
health across inpatient and outpatient settings. She began specializing in Dialectical
Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in 2020 supporting individuals experiencing significant
emotional distress and complex mental health challenges in a comprehensive DBT
program.

Through her work, Nikki has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating
high-acuity situations, managing intense emotions, and working through recurring
patterns of behaviour that can interfere with daily life. She is passionate about helping
clients build practical skills, strengthen their ability to cope with distress, and work
towards meaningful quality-of-life goals.

Nikki’s approach reflects DBT’s balance of acceptance and change. She strives to
create a therapeutic environment that is collaborative, compassionate, and
nonjudgmental, where clients feel understood while also being supported to make
meaningful changes. She believes that with the right skills, support, and commitment,
individuals can develop greater confidence in navigating challenges, build more fulfilling
relationships, and create lives that feel meaningful and worth living.
